We finalized Alexa's adoption on Friday, March 13. We drove to the courthouse in Rolla, and had to appear briefly before a judge. During a moment of quiet in the proceedings, Graham asked, "Are they going to give us the papers and then we can go home?" Everyone in the courtroom laughed, I said "yes", and then he asked, "And then we can watch a DVD in the minivan?" Everyone thought he was very funny (and clearly he wasn't much impressed by the ceremony).
